Do you invite your fur baby to your wedding?
It’s your big day. It’s going to be everything you’ve ever dreamed of. Everyone you love is going to be there. Or are they? Have you invited your best friend? YOUR FUR BABY!!!!
I’ve got to be honest, I didn’t invite mine. They’d have been an absolute nightmare.
I love dogs and have always had them, but for some reason I’ve never had the cool, calm and collected type. My dogs have always been soft and playful but they have never got to grips with not being loonies. Perhaps this is something to do with their owners!
Is your dog the wedding kind? Will you be taking them to yours?
What are the pro’s and con’s of bringing your fur baby along to your big day:
The pro’s
- Your photos are going to look sooo cute………………
- They’ll entertain your guests as everyone loves fussing over a pooch. It’s a great conversation starter especially for those awkward moments when you’re amongst people you’ve never met before.
- No pet care costs
The con’s
- Wee!
- Poo!
- Some of your guests may not like dogs or worse still they might be petrified of them. (You could always not invite those guests)
- An extra to be added to the seating plan? (Or maybe they’d be ok under the head table?)
I love the idea of your dog being part of your big day, I’m just not sure how realistic it is for all dogs. Take Duke for instance, he’s the softest, friendliest dog you’ll meet but imagine the terror on everyone’s faces if he turned up at my wedding (hypothetically speaking). He would definitely NOT sit quietly under the table, pose gracefully for a photo and I could not guarantee he wouldn’t knock a small child off their feet. (Accidently of course!)
But he is beautiful though, right?
I don’t know, I guess your dog IS part of your family and you wouldn’t leave your granny at home. (Hopefully!)
