Here at LiveBand Entertainment we love a good party! So Melody was thrilled when last month she and her party band, Sound, had the pleasure of performing at George’s spectacular 40th birthday bash. Read on to find out all about it!
Bumblebee Hall
George’s big bash was hosted in a fantastic garden tipi setup at his home Bumblebee Hall in Retford. And wow – what a place!
The moment they arrived, the band were blown away by its beauty. Surrounded by lush gardens, this dream home was the perfect setting for George’s special celebration. Beth, George’s lovely wife, had planned everything down to the last detail. She’d truly left no stone unturned in her quest for an an absolutely unforgettable evening!
Setting the stage for a night to remember
Beth and George were such a delight to work with. Their warm hospitality made Sound party band feel right at home.
With drinks flowing from the bar and a top-up service, plus delicious food and a lovely atmosphere, it was hard to believe they were there to work!
But work they did!
Sound: The Ultimate Party Band
The band created an amazing atmosphere for George’s guests, kicking off the festivities with a high-energy DJ set from 6 pm. Later they took it up a notch with live music from the 4-piece party band, before wrapping up an unforgettable evening spinning the decks until midnight.

And one thing’s for certain – Sound delivered their best. From nostalgic tunes like Luther Vandross’s “Never Too Much” to Wheatus’s “Teenage Dirtbag,” our 4-piece party band had everyone up on their feet. Of course, what goes up must come down, and there were a few tumbles (both guests and glasses -whoops!) But these moments only added to the lively party atmosphere and were quickly sorted out by the super staff.
The band did whatever it took to keep the party going and the guests dancing. In fact, Melody even found herself looking after a few glasses of champagne on stage while the ladies took to the floor. Now how’s that for great service?
